The Trust meets three times a year: just after Christmas, around Easter, and late in the Summer. Applications that arrive too late for one meeting are held over to the next.

The Trust only supports UK-registered Charities and Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIOs).

All applications are drawn to the attention of the meeting but, as can be imagined, the majority (very many of them excellent) are not supported. The Secretary urges fund-raisers to think long and hard before directing an unsolicited application to the Trust.
