How we operate

The Trust meets three times a year: just after Christmas, around Easter, and late in the Summer. Applications that arrive too late for one meeting are held over to the next.

All applications are drawn to the attention of the meeting but, as can be imagined, the overwhelming majority (very many of them excellent) are not supported. That is to say that the Gibbs Trust is inundated with applications only a few of which are supported. The Secretary urges fund-raisers to think long and hard before directing an unsolicited application to the Trust.

Accounts and Annual Reports are submitted to the Charity Commission and  can be read there.
